My name is Katy Clara Ayache Bisraor – Toenet Rabbanit and family mediator.

I am a Toenet Rabbanit and licensed mediator in family law. I received my certification as a Toenet Rabbanit from Midreshet Lindenbaum in Jerusalem, the seminary that pioneered advanced Torah study for women. My specialties are legal representation at rabbinical courts and mediation. My primary expertise is in handling complex cases related to division of property, custody and overnight arrangements, parental alienation, ketubahs, child support, and agunot.
My motto is that every effort must be made so that the couple can “divorce in peace.” I belong to the new generation of representatives interested in mediating, not waging war.

The existence of agunot is one of the most terrible and severe phenomena found today in the Jewish world. The reality of a husband or wife using Jewish law as a tool to extort and act unjustly toward the other spouse and to take away their liberty is extremely horrific. It must be fought with the utmost force, using the many Halachic and legal remedies that exist today.
